Welcome to Sing 'n Speak Spanish

Sing ‘n Speak Spanish® is a music-based Spanish curriculum for elementary schools – suitable for children in K – 6th grades (See About Program). This interactive four year program (See Curricula) is used to teach Spanish within a traditional elementary classroom and for after-school enrichment. A number of elementary schools nationwide have purchased our Spanish curriculum to teach during the school day. More than 500 yearlong Spanish enrichment courses have been taught to over 4,000 students in about 80 elementary schools in San Diego since 1998 using this program (See Schools).

Sing ‘n Speak Spanish® is a comprehensive “ready to use” program. Our Teacher Packages come with detailed simple-to-follow lesson plans, thematic songs taught with hand TPR, numerous colorful teaching aids, and student workbooks that tie in seamlessly into each lesson (See Program Materials). Singing, activities, games, and humorous puppet skits make learning Spanish fun for your elementary students (See Testimonials). The curriculum is designed to be inserted right into your teacher’s annual plans (See the “Scope and Sequence Chart” in About Program).

The Sing ‘n Speak Spanish® elementary curricula work most effectively when each student is provided with a Student Package: a workbook and a music CD with a companion songbook. The student workbook is filled with fun reading and writing activities that keep Spanish learning alive outside the classroom. It is such a relief to busy teachers when their students have a bound workbook where all the assignments are in one place and in order. The music CD and songbook make it is so easy for students to improve their pronunciation and retain vocabulary as they memorize the catchy songs. (See “Student Packages” under Program Materials).

To enhance the curricula, we offer optional support materials and supplies. The humorous puppet skits found in Sing ‘n Speak Spanish® give the teacher a powerful way to engage elementary aged students in a fun and creative way while reinforcing key vocabulary and grammar structures. We have carefully assembled a collection of 12 exceptional puppets which children adore and which are available for purchase. A fun, humorous, and easy to learn language drilling game, called Translation Sensation drills the students on the vocabulary and structures they have become familiar with (See Program Materials).
